Registration- and renewal rights
• In an exclusive-license agreement for a trademark, the licensee should consider negotiating the right to renew the mark’s registration if the mark owner doesn’t timely do so — otherwise, the registration might expire, possibly leaving the licensee with bupkis or close to it.
